2 weeks of work. It's been good mostly. Some issues overcoming organizational inertia but that was expected. Will take time. A tried to cast me into the IT guy's role but that's not happening. Wonder if he's trying the same stunt with the Developer's session at Kampala. We shall see.

The people are really great. Ish good to have the Wabbit there, of course. That was an added bonus.

We have to shift apartments end of November. Crap. Better find a nice place.
I hate shifting.

Yellow Fever vaccines, Uganda etc

Within the first week of work at the new place, I was told I was heading off with my team - which includes one of my closest friends by the way - to Uganda! Haha. Looks like Africa is going to happen much before I had imagined.

Better get that Yellow Fever vaccination tomorrow.

Work is good. Aamir has some biases but I think I can work around 'em.

Well work starts from next week looks like...

Quite a lot of uncertainty about what I will be doing next year. Even the director isn't sure. Looks like he jumps from one idea to another a lot. It's gonna be a whirlwind year if I stick with this organization, which I am not sure I will. Then again, I might. If I am not completely bored and if I can learn a lot, I think I will stick it out for a bit even if I am not super interested in the stuff. And then...we will see.

Oh crap, I have nothing to wear. No, that's not the "Oh crap I have nothing to wear" you hear from girls. I really don't. I have 3 very old Shalwar Qameez's and that's it. Somehow I don't think they will last 5 days a week. I need to buy clothes!

Ahahahh! Pakistan lost! Awesome!

Ever seen a Pakistani this happy at losing a cricket match? No? That's because you don't realize how mad a place the world is.

All of India was watching Pakistan play Australia instead of watching their own match against West-Indies. And they were praying for US to win!! AHAHahhaha. Oh the irony!

Sorry India. We know you prayed for us.

These days I feel like writing a snippet or two after meals; lunch or breakfast.

Late breakfasts are good. In fact they are great. Nothing like late breakfasts.
After consuming an omelet - extra red pepper, extra green chilli of course - with buttered toast and following it up with Everyday wali chai....wah wah.

If nothing else, we will always have extra spicy omelets, buttered toast and chai.

Pakistan just won

Haha. Thoroughly enjoyable match.
Great stuff.

The Lahori Anda

Lahori andaz are the kings of eggs. The omelet is the year round favourite and one can eat fried eggs once in a while - especially on buttered toast - but the Lahori .....

What I like about the Lahori anda is the variety within its homogeneity. It is cohesive and uniform in taste. No matter how powerful the fried red and green chillis, they do not distract from the egg taste. The chili taste and the egg taste exist in each other's company while retaining their own special something.

What hay.
